GATTON CNC BUILD:

So I decided that I needed a CNC at home, since they stopped letting us use the large machines at work for personal projects. After doing a ton of research, I decided to build Dave Gatton's CNC. I bought a parts kit from him and cut the rest of the parts out by hand. I then digitized the parts and cut them out on a CNC. I've made several modifications, like doubling the gantry uprights for more rigidity. I built the 48" x 48" version, which just barely fits. It's also fully enclosed for noise and sawdust management.

Once I've mastered the build and get this one running, I will cut out the final parts for my machine and do a full set of build videos about it. Please stay tuned...
